On this beautiful, sunny spring day, our visit to Penfield Elementary was filled with creativity and hands-on learning! 🌞 Ms. McKinnon’s grade 4/5 class wrapped up their anatomy unit by tracing their bodies, colouring and placing each organ and bone in its proper place and providing a write-up about each one’s function. 🎨 Mrs. Panziera’s grade 4/5 class were creating beautiful watercolour landscapes, using straws to blow the paint into tree shapes. 🚶‍♀️TTOC Ms. Veenstra’s kindergarten class were taking a body break to move and recharge. Ms. Etheridge’s grade 3 students were busy creating their own graphic novels. And Ms. Stewart’s K/1 class, after learning about what makes beanstalks grow, made their own beanstalk art, adding a photo of themselves and imagining what they might find at the top! Such a perfect spring day to celebrate curiosity, creativity, and connection! #CRSD72 #DayInTheLife #SD72Learns
