Protecting Access to Places of Worship, Schools

The province plans to bring in new laws that stop people from blocking safe access to schools and places of worship. The goal is to protect children and community members from disruptive behaviour in spaces meant to be safe and open to everyone.

Province Adopting Permanent Daylight Saving Time

The Province of British Columbia is adopting permanent year-round daylight saving time (DST) to improve people's overall health, reduce disruptions for families, simplifying scheduling and provide an extra hour of evening light during the winter months.

💗 Pink Shirt Day reminds us to pause and reflect but, as we've shown this past week, the real work continues every day. Across our schools, students are learning how to be kind, how to include others and how to support one another. That learning looks different at every age, but the goal is the same — safe, caring and welcoming schools for all students. Kindness is a skill we build together. #KindnessInAction #SafeAndWelcomingSchools #CRSD72
